Review: A Few Dollars More
This is the second part of a three-part series of review essays on the Man with No Name trilogy. Keep in mind that this is meant to be a personal critique of the movie, specifically of the particular filmmaking techniques and their use in storytelling. Regardless, pop in the DVD (or BluRay or VHS) and follow along. I hope you enjoy it, and any response (positive or negative) would be much appreciated.

Critique of The Last Chip
As previously stated, this blog is to help us grow as filmmakers. As such, it only makes sense to analyze our own work. Taking in what we did well and learning from mistakes will provide a solid foundation that will improve future releases. As such, I will now critique our first video The Last Chip.

Annotating A Fistful of Dollars
This is a review of the film A Fistful of Dollars. Perhaps review isn't the right word. Annotation is more accurate, since much of this blog post addresses certain specific parts of the movie and not just my reaction to the overall viewing experience. Anyway, pop in the DVD if you have it and follow along. If not, I hope you enjoy my commentary anyway.

The Founding of Intrusive Studios
For as long as I could remember, I felt like there was something missing in my life. I later realized this feeling was my need to create. I have tried my hand at many endeavors including music (guitar and piano), comics, and writing. Reality is a bitter pill to swallow. While good at playing instruments, I had no ability to compose. My talents at drawing are no better than a child learning fine motor skills. I can write well, however when it came to writing a fantasy novel I discovered I am too descriptive and dull. The emptiness seemed like it would never cease... until one fateful night.
One of my many loves would be films. A while back, I watched "Oldboy" and was blown away. I had recommended this film to all my friends. During this past summer, my friend Cody and I were going to watch "Oldboy" with a mutual friend in order for him to experience some of the best storytelling that any movie had to offer. After the movie finished, I began talking to Cody about my need to create. I explained a dream that had inspired a film idea. Cody then made a suggestion that for whatever reason I never contemplated, "Why don't you make a short?" The flood gates opened. The chasm that I never thought would be filled overflowed. After more discussion, we decided to start Intrusive Studios.
This blog will serve many purposes. For one, it will showcase the shorts that Intrusive Studios creates. Second, it will chronicle the journey of a group of people who have no experience in film-making gain further insight through trial and error. This will hopefully allow us to grow and become better creators. Finally, this blog will discuss other films from reviews to simply admiring the silver screen. All in all, I am interested to see where this will go.
